I've been collecting for almost 10 years now but have only recently fallen back in love with the game. Lockdown 2020 to be precise. I guess that's one good thing to come out of coronavirus! I have a large collection of lightweight teams and have loved getting to know a number of the other collectors including a couple that live pretty close by, along with others from Italy, Australia, Spain, Greece and many more places around the world. It's great to see how popular the game still is and long may it continue!
Aswell as collecting, I enjoy the restoration just as much. I can't tell you how many arms i've had to remove from broken players and re-attach to others, and the process gets a little smoother each time I do it thankfully. Using the right tools in the right setting obviously helps and with an element of distain from the Mrs, I converted our spare room into my Subbuteo office. And added a lock to keep the kids out.
